FOR YOUR GRAMMY® CONSIDERATION

Blessed & Bewitched
Best Jazz AlbumI am deeply honored and proud to present Blessed & Bewitched for GRAMMY® consideration.
This album is one of the most personal artistic journeys of my life. It was born from original music, trust, improvisation, and the beautiful freedom that only jazz can offer.
I am especially grateful to Origin Records for believing in this music and for submitting Blessed & Bewitched for GRAMMY® consideration.
Recorded in Brooklyn, New York, in February 2025, Blessed & Bewitched brought together an extraordinary ensemble of musicians from the American jazz scene.
I feel deeply honored and grateful to have had the opportunity to create this music with such exceptional artists. Their artistry, generosity, individuality, and profound musicality brought new dimensions to my compositions and made this recording a truly shared creative experience.
We approached every composition with openness and deep listening, allowing the music to evolve naturally through conversation, interaction, and improvisation. Every note reflects a shared moment of honesty, musical trust, and creative freedom.
More than an album, Blessed & Bewitched is a celebration of connection — between cultures, musicians, intuition, and storytelling through jazz.
I am deeply grateful to every musician who brought their voice to this project, to Origin Records for supporting the album, and to everyone who has listened, supported, reviewed, played, and shared this music along the way.

The Witch
Best Jazz Performance“The Witch” is an original composition by Adrian Varady and Maja Jaku, inspired by feminine intuition, spiritual strength, and the timeless wisdom carried by women across generations.
Throughout history, women who were deeply intuitive, empathetic, and spiritually connected were often feared, misunderstood, and labeled as witches.
But what if the “witch” was never something to fear?
What if she was simply a woman who sees deeply, feels deeply, protects fiercely, and leads with love, intuition, and courage?
“The Witch” is an invitation to reclaim that ancient archetype.
It is a song for women who trust their inner voice, embrace their sensitivity as strength, and carry light through compassion, resilience, and love.
Enter the magic.
Trust what you feel.
Listen to the woman within.

What Are They Saying About Maja
Reviews
European jazz icon Maja Jaku steps confidently onto the American jazz stage, bringing with her a refined, intimate sound shaped by nuance, atmosphere, and a deep sense of emotional storytelling that immediately sets her apart.
For a singer new to many listeners, she makes a striking first impression, her voice revealing both control and subtlety, drawing the listener in with an unforced sense of phrasing and emotional clarity.
This is not a showcase of abilities, but a conversation in which she says what she thinks, shaping each phrase with intention and restraint, allowing the music to unfold naturally rather than seeking to impress.
The voice emerges as an instrument of confession — chamber-like, nocturnal, and demanding, carrying a sense of honesty and inward focus that gives the music its distinctive character.
The real magic happens when Maja Jaku moves beyond the expected framework and allows the music to breathe, creating moments that feel personal, spontaneous, and uniquely her own.
A refined and deeply personal statement, where subtlety, atmosphere, and emotional precision define the overall sound, revealing an artist with a clear identity and a strong sense of direction.
