Maja presents her most personal and ambitious project to date: Blessed & Bewitched, recorded at Bunker Studio in New York. This fully original album is a bold exploration of the emotional and spiritual dimensions of jazz—raw, poetic, and transcendent. Leading a powerful ensemble featuring Johnathan Blake (two-time Blue Note artist), Adrian Varady (protégé of Quincy Jones), Michael Rodriguez (Grammy-winning trumpeter), Alan Bartus (semi-finalist of the Herbie Hancock Competition), and Dezron Douglas (bassist for Pharoah Sanders, Ravi Coltrane, and others), Maja brings her vision vividly to life. The album is not just music—it is a declaration of authenticity, vulnerability, and uncompromising artistry.

The new CD will be released on October 17 2025 on one of America’s most renowned jazz labels, Origin Records.

Maja Jaku is a jazz and soul vocalist whose music bridges tradition and modernity. Growing up surrounded by Blue Note records and a musical family, she later studied with legendary mentors including Sheila Jordan, Mark Murphy, Andy Bey, and Jay Clayton. Her voice carries the depth of jazz history while creating original, deeply personal music for today’s world.
